Here's the bridge over French's Creek. This was our 2nd stop of the day. We pulled into the parking lot, but stayed in the van. Within a minute or two, we saw a bunch of swallows by the mud puddle in the lot. I asked the boys what they were doing, and they chimed in that the birds were getting mud! I asked what for? The boys said they were building their nests...so we sat there and waiting, and watched the swallows go back and forth between the puddle and the bridge. It was neat watching them make the rounds, as a group. Liz thought it was awesome! We finally did get out of the van, and she got to throw some rocks in the water. The boys and I listened to several different bird calls. We'll have to work on identifying them!
